I feel as though I’ve had a trip to Paris myself with an interesting guide and companions! Really loved it, thank you. And loved the illustrations Ruby. Jude xxxx
Loved this Ruby! I'd forgotten Chartier until this, and remember going once myself a few years ago. Thanks for the reminder! There is just so much to do and see in Paris, something new every visit! x
You’re absolutely right Tor. Wish I’d had some days on my own to go to museums and wish I’d booked a few more things ahead of time! So glad you went to Chartier, it’s an absolute treat. Like something from Jacques Tati. I think if I lived there I’d go every week with my sketchbook!
Oh Ruby I LOVED reading this! My husband and I visited Chartier and had the steak, it was delicious and I still salivate at the thought. I’ve been meaning to take my girls to Paris as they’ve never visited so I will take a few of your recommendations. Thank you!
Thanks Melissa, I’m so glad you loved Chartier too! My kids actually really loved navigating on the metro which I forgot to mention, in London I guess we do it all for them so it was great to see them doing some map reading. So many beautiful things to see, I hope your girls love it when you go!
I visited Paris for the first time early September and loved it so much - being gluten free I found a totally gf bakery in montmartre close to the Amelie cafe! I also went to the Picasso museum amazing and the montmartre museum both amazing
Oh that sounds so great Sarah! We rather O.D'd on gluten so your recommendation is one I'll investigate if we go again! It's definitely a city to spend a lot more time in.
A delightful read and full of gorgeous drawings. I recognise the family dynamics of wanting to go to interesting places, do drawings yet knowing you may be alone in that desire. Looks like you nailed it!
Such a delight to go on this journey to Paris! And I can't believe how many beautiful drawings you fit in even with the family in tow... I'm so useless at being productive with people around! You are super human (or probably just very well practiced). All so very charming! xx
You have such a lovely way of drawing and storytelling. I hope it's okay I was going through pinning lots of the illustrations with my Pinterest button!
Thanks so much Sam! I love how all the street furniture is so clearly Parisian, even the way they lay the cobbles is different to London. I could have spent a whole day drawing bins and lamp posts. Maybe another trip is called for...

Oh Jude I’m so glad! I wish you HAD been with us! XxX

How lovely Katelyn, I’m honoured!
What a wonderful capture of your trip! My son loves Invisible Dogs - off to write your review now x
Oh Raj that’s so lovely of you, thank you! 💕
Ahh such gorgeous illustrations Ruby, and the little details like the lampposts and red chairs really anchor them in Paris, lovely commentary too!

LOVED this travelogue diary report back from Paris! And LOVE your drawings! Nearly feel like I was there with you! Xxxx
Ah Ella it would have been so fun if you had been there too!
A fun trip and a lot of groovy sketches. My favourite is the burger eaters.
Thanks so much Andrew! Great to hear you like the burger eaters!
