Well, if it’s any comfort, Voltaire would have approved! He advised us to cultivate our own gardens rather than dwelling on the disturbing outside world, or words to that effect! What could be more profound than an activity which has left you (and us) with Christmas drawings of your family “almost exclusively “ sitting on sofas! 😊😊. And such really lovely drawings. Happy New Year!
Ah Jude that IS a comfort! I hope one day I can cultivate my own garden (literally and metaphorically) and have it spill down the street a little bit, making homes for hedgehogs and robins and perhaps putting out things that people can take away for free to brighten up their tables... That feels like it might be achievable... Happy January to you!
Such beauty in these little, but important moments. I love the teeny hands on your partner's hands in the first one. I didn't draw all christmas... it starts today (though I am also feeling very intimidated!!)
Those bananas sitting there on the counter by their lonesome.
Finding joy in the little things is probably the way to go right now.
Thank you Nino, I think you’re right. And so glad you spotted the bananas! They looked like they meant something…
I love small details like that. It really makes a difference when it comes to setting the scene.
Feeling all of this! But love your drawings. x
Ahh thanks so much Tor!

Oh thank you so much Rachel, I hope your sketchbook has called you, but if it hasn't that's fine too!
Haha it didn't happen, and it WAS alright! I'm getting better at not being hard on myself... Life is busy!!
Keep drawing, Ruby! I love the one of your mum.
